My New Neighbour by Leks

On my return I found out my parents had filled the ginger shaped place in their heart with this cutey:

That’s right… it’s a fox. And it lives in my back garden. And it gets better: this is only one of 3…either Mummy or Daddy fox. The more astute among you will realise this means there is also a

Baby fox!

My first 2 days here have been dedicated to “Baby Fox Watch” (as yet unsuccessful, sob) whilst raiding all food supplies, catching up on back issues of the Style section of Sunday Times and watching “Great British Menu”. I don’t think I’ve ever enjoyed being home more than this.

I’ve also been jogging a few times because I’ve decided to try and run a Half Marathon in July. I guess writing that on here means I can’t really go back on it now… that might be a mistake. The saddest thing is that my I-pod is at the I-pod doctor at the moment which means I’ve had to resort to my ancient MP3 player that can only hold 15 songs at a time. Which means they have to be the best songs ever. And that’s where I thought you guys could help me out: your challenge is to help me compile the ultimate 15 song jogging playlist…Β Β Β  please.

Obligatory ‘Eye of the Tiger’ recommendation. Although you might find you are sprinting by the end of it!

And maybe The Prodigy – Smack My Bitch Up? You’ll be dead by the end of that song.

Get some Vitalic on there, that will keep your energy up.

I always like to put an Andrew W.K. song in my workout mix, but I understand AWK is not for everyone. That fox is adorable πŸ™‚

Kanye West – The New Workout Plan.

passion pit! though you may end up dancing.

Comment by Chloe

Easy, relevant and awesome choice: running up that hill by you know who…

Comment by Dylan

Archers of Loaf, “Web in Front.”
The Thermals, “Pillar of Salt”
Sleater-Kinney, “Dance Song ’97” or something else off Dig Me Out

guess it all depends if you’re the type of runner who likes to get her face rocked off to have the funky dance beatz.

Good luck on the half marathon!

Comment by vanessa

I always found Agitated by Muse to be very energetic and run-able to πŸ˜€

Comment by Sam

Mr Vain – you’ll get strange looks mind.

You COULD try LCD Soundsystem’s 45:33, if you don’t mind constantly changing your speed of jogging.

Actually thinking about it, Kala would be a good jogging playlist LOL

Comment by Alex

I bet I’d kick off by I’d rather Dance with you by KOC and then I’d go into something more upbeat like Bicycle by Queen… If I listen to Last Nite or Reptilia or any TS tune, I’d dance instead of run…but I like the songs all in all πŸ˜‰

there is no jogging playlist complete without lady humps by the black eyed peas on there!

but seriously, holland 1945 by neutral milk hotel and at least i’m not as sad as i used to be by fun. are my 2 favorite jogging songs. something about nate reuss’s voice infuses vitality into the most hum drum tasks and routines.

Comment by kiamarie

Son The Father – Fucked Up (but then you might end up sprinting, so use it as the last song, when you’re exhausted and jogging feels like sprinting)
The Libertines – Don’t look back into the sun (impossible to not like this song)
The Go! Team – Panther Dash

Comment by Max

I don’t know if you still need suggestions but gay bar from the electric six.
