A DAY AT DEATH SEASIDE by Gareth

Every time we pass through Chicago, we seem to have a free day either side of the show. This is ideal, ’cause it allows us to stop off at Tour Manager Puleo’s pad. It’s ideally located right next to Lake Michigan, so we always get to go for a paddle. However, this time the weather was delicious and meant we could go for a proper swim. Equipped with a football and a couple of rubber inflatable rings (not entirely sure why Joe owns the latter) we dicked around in the salt-free, chlorine-free lake and caught some rays.

Afterwards, we had the now traditional Joe’s House Cook Out, where our incredible Merch Girl Kellie and Domestic God Ollie slave over a barbecue and cooker for hours while we lounge in the garden or watch American coverage of the Bundesliga. Days at Joe’s are always a lovely and very welcome sense of homeliness amongst the hours of sitting in a cramped van. Here are some snaps:

I hate fucking Mexico Soccer. That is all.

Ps the lake looks fun! When i was in England this past year, I took a swim in the channel at the beaches of Dover. It was unbelievably cold. I hope your experience was a litle better!
